· Clever should still be available through August 6th, along with any programs that use Clever as a sign in, such as Brainpop, Office 365, Zearn, and Seesaw. We’ve also posted paper copies of Zearn’s “Summer Learning Plan” Lessons on Teams under "Files" for both grade levels- students are welcome to work on Zearn online, but we wanted to provide a non-digital alternative. Students will lose access after August 6th while accounts are upgraded until the start of school. Leixa will also be available through July, and we highly recommend using it if possible as one way to keep kids reading and responding. o 5th Grade Suggested Zearn Lessons: Module 4 Lessons 1-30, Module 6 Lessons 1-15

Dear Families,
Here are a couple of things we want you to know about for our upcoming week: · Zoom Class Meetings: We are so excited to host class Zoom meetings so that we can honor our Science Tech tradition of the end of year Spelling Bee, come together as a class, and help us determine the winner of the House Cup. We will be posting several lessons on Seesaw for students to understand how this will work and the rules around it, including respecting privacy of students and being productive Digital Citizens. These are optional activities, but we hope that students are able to join us! We will be sending formal invites next week: o Science Tech Practice Spelling Bee/Study Session on Zoom: Tuesday June 16th from 10-11am. o Science Tech Spelling Bee, in House Teams on Zoom: Monday, June 22nd from 10-11am. · Plan for Thursday: Both teachers will be packing up student materials in the building on Thursday, so we will not be as prompt about responding to email or grading posts on Seesaw. We will NOT have office hours on Thursday, as a result and will move office hours to 9:30-10am on Friday, along with our usual Tuesday hours. · Writing: For the rest of the school year, all writing assignments will be on Seesaw. It is marked in the Learning Targets document, as well as the Daily Remote Learning Plan. · Survey for Students: This survey is for your child to take. We typically take this survey in the building every year and we want to continue to gather data on your child’s perspective. Please let your child know the following information: This survey is for the school district to learn more about you and to help our schools provide you with the best education possible. Your responses are completely confidential and are not for a grade. Please answer all of the questions honestly, and know that your voice is very important. The District conducts this survey each spring so we can track this kind of feedback from students year to year. The survey is written to help our district measure what student experiences have been during a typical school year, not what student experiences have been during remote learning. To every extent possible, please complete the survey based on your experiences prior to the Covid 19 closure. Fourth grade survey: https://bit.ly/ISD4thGradeSurvey Fifth grade survey: https://bit.ly/ISD5thGradeSurvey · 5th Grade Promotion Celebration June 19th: Please come celebrate with your 5th grade teachers between 9:30-11:00 when you come pick up your belongings. Your teachers will be there to send you off in a special way-but you will need to stay in your car and keep driving. At 1:00 PM, a 5th grade promotion video will be send to you via email for you to review and share with family members · Reminder about End of the Year Supply Pick Up: o June 1st – June 19th -- Drop off Library Books Please search your homes for library books. Mrs. Guillen has sent you a message as to which books are still missing and checked out to your child. Please know we have gone through every student desk and book box and have gathered those library books. There is a Library Drop Box at the front door of the school. You may drop books of Monday -Friday from 6:30 am - 7:00pm. o June 15th – June 19th we will be facilitating a time to gather your child’s personal belongings and wrap up the school year. Your pick up time is designated by grade level. This may mean you need to come by the school more than one time. This is a chance to wave good bye to teachers and staff by grade level. At your designated time, you may come to Clark to pick up your materials. You will enter the pick-up/drop off lane where a drive through line will be set up to pick up materials. During this process we ask that people stay in their cars and allow us to bring the bag to you. This will also help us to move people through in as quick and efficient a manner as possible while maintaining social distancing. When you pick up your materials, please be prepared to share the last name of your child. You will be able to pick up medications at this time if you have them at school. Lastly, in order to expedite delivery of these items in a timely manner and to keep cars moving while implementing the state’s social distancing guidelines, we will not be able to socialize or help trouble shoot other concerns as you pick-up items through the pick-up/drop off lane (the front of the school). We want to ensure everyone will be able to get their items without any delays within their designated time slots. Thank you for understanding. · Presidential Cabinet Elections for 4th Graders: Voting is open, and will close on Monday afternoon.
